BIOGRAPHY

Karen is a Vancouver-based theatre artist, with various experience in stage management, lighting design, and technical direction. After obtaining her BFA (with distinction) in theatre production and design at Simon Fraser University, she moved to Hong Kong to expand her knowledge in interior design and construction, where she worked with clients like Rolex and Tudor. She then became a senior theatre technician at Ocean Park Hong Kong. After moving back to Canada in 2021, she stage-managed I Swallowed a Moon Made of Iron (Music Picnic) at the Living Things Festival and PuSh Festival 2022; as well as Funny Money (Western Gold Theatre).
